What is the Āpex Suite?
The Āpex Suite is a collection of focused travel apps made by HYTimes App Studio. Each app does one thing well, with no subscriptions and no ads, ever. Anticipāt and Trāce are free; the paid apps (like Rōute, Pāck, and Spēnd) are free to try, with a single $4.99 one-time unlock that's yours forever.
How do I get a refund?
App purchases are handled by Apple or Google; we don't process payments directly. For a refund, visit
reportaproblem.apple.com (iOS) or the Google Play Help Center (Android). If you're having trouble getting a refund through those channels,
email us and we'll help.
I found a bug. What do I do?
Email
support@hytimesgroup.com with the app name, your device model, your OS version, and a description of what happened. We investigate every report and release fixes in the next update.
My app isn't working. Help?
Try closing and reopening the app first. Your data lives on your device, so before you delete and reinstall, use the app's export or backup option, turn on its iCloud or Google Drive sync if it has one, or make sure the app is included in your device backup (iCloud Backup on iOS, or Google backup on Android). Will I be charged again for updates?
Never. There are no subscriptions and no recurring fees. If an app has a one-time unlock, you pay it once, and all future updates (new features, bug fixes, compatibility updates) are included at no additional cost, forever.
When is [app name] launching?
Rōute
My confirmation email won't share properly.
Some mail apps won't hand the email's text to the share sheet. The reliable trick: open the email, choose Print, then pinch out on the preview to turn it into a PDF, and share that PDF to Rōute. The
user guide walks through it with pictures.
The flight status isn't showing.
Live status only appears for a real flight number, close to departure. A flight months away shows its booked times until the airline starts reporting live data.
I bought Rōute on my iPhone. How do I get it on my iPad?
Install it with the same Apple ID, then Settings → Restore Purchases. Your trips sync between your own devices through your own iCloud.
Trāce
How do I get my map onto a new phone?
On iPhone it's automatic: your statuses ride your own iCloud, so installing Trāce on a new phone signed into the same Apple ID brings the map back filled in. If it doesn't appear, check that iCloud is on for Trāce in Settings.
A country won't select when I tap it.
Zoom in a little. At world zoom, small countries and islands are hard to hit precisely, and a short zoom makes the tap land. You can also find any place by name in the Places list and set its status there.
How do I turn the US states map on or off?
Settings → US states map. It's on by default in the US and off elsewhere, and you can flip it either way.
Spēnd (shared groups)
My friend's expenses aren't showing up.
Both of you need to be in the same shared group and signed in. Edits made offline sync as soon as the phone reconnects.
The invite link doesn't work.
The group's owner can close invites once everyone's in, so ask them to reopen it or send a fresh link. And make sure the whole link came through; it ends in a long code.
I can look at the group but I can't add anything.
You joined as a viewer. Tap "Join in" on the banner at the top of the group to take part.
Do I have to pay to join my friend's group?
No, and you never will. Joining someone else's group is always free.
